Xiaomi has launched its first indoor smart camera with zoom capabilities, the Smart Camera 4 Zoom Edition. The device is now listed on Xiaomi Youpin and crowdfunding for it will start on August 20 at 10:00 AM (CST). It is priced at 399 yuan ($55) during the crowdfunding period, while the usual retail price will be 469 yuan ($65).

The Smart 4 camera features a dual-lens camera with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 5MP telephoto lens. It supports 9x zoom, including 3x edgeless zoom. This enables the camera to cover a large area as well as retain single details from a distance. Xiaomi has equipped this camera with 4K radar support, f/1.6 aperture, and back-illuminated sensors to provide better clarity in both daylight and low light.

For night vision, the camera uses 10 infrared monitors running at 940 mAh. It can be seen in darkness up to 10 meters without any red light spectrum. Xiaomi has incorporated an advanced motor system that improves pan-tilt performance by 30% compared to the previous C700 model. The camera supports full 360° stack and 180° portable range.
